Una Kroll 1926 - 2017
We were saddened to hear earlier today of the death of Una Kroll, doctor, missionary, Anglican priest and later Roman Catholic laywoman, writer, campaigner, spiritual director, and most importantly of all - friend to many.
Una's was a full and extraordinary life, upon which she reflected briefly in an interview for our Christian Voices Coming Out project last year. Widely known for her work in campaigning for women's ordination, Una was also an early supporter of the decriminalisation of male homosexuality - the fiftieth anniversary of which we'll be marking throughout 2017. A gifted theologian and writer, she contributed a number of articles to LGCM's journals over the years, through which we have been especially blessed. You can read a fascinating Guardian profile of Una here.
We will rememebr Una with great fondness and respect, whether we knew her in person, though her writings or her broadcasts. Her long life's journey she has enabled so many of us to live ours more fully - in body, mind or spirit, in our relationships, and in our ministry.
May she rest in peace, and rise in glory.
