We’re a friendly group and we normally meet at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of the month either in Newport, Ryde or Cowes.
During our meetings we generally include a short period of prayer or reflection. In a similar way to other groups around the country, we sometimes gather together to hear a talk or to share around a particular topic and other times we meet simply on a social basis for a meal or a drink and light hearted discussion.
Our next meeting will be in Winchester on Sunday 3rd July .
We are having a special meeting on a Sunday at the home of one of the original Isle of Wight LGCM members who has since moved to Winchester. Six of us will be travelling from the Isle of Wight to Winchester this coming Sunday to hear a short talk on Thomas Merton given by a visiting Anglican priest. We are also looking foward to refreshments provided by our host which we gather will include home made cake and biscuits!

At one of our recent meetings we were fortunate to be able to visit a local film club that was showing the Italian movie, ‘Loose Cannons’. It was a film enjoyed by all. In fact over a period of two months we saw two films, the other was ‘The Bird Cage’.
