When: Tuesday 1 February, 7.30pm
Where: City URC, Windsor Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BZ
LGCM South Wales/De Cymru is pleased to welcome John Bell. The renowned speaker, musician and theologian will be leading an evening in which he will be exploring the inclusive nature of the Gospel in word, story and song, drawing on material from and experiences of the world church and reflecting on seldom mentioned aspects of the ministry of Jesus.
It is very rare to have such a highly acclaimed speaker in South Wales and is definitely a date not to be missed. Many will have heard his challenging and entertaining broadcasts on ‘Thought for the Day’ on Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme. Many will have sung one of his many songs and will be well aware of his ability to put abstract theology into concrete words and singable music.
He leads workshops and seminars on worship all over the world in many different denominations. He has collected worship songs from many different cultures. He has been a Youth Worker in the past and now works for the Iona Community. His main passion is for congregational song and has provided the Wild Goose Worship Group with many resources to renew worship.
Windsor Place is right in the centre of Cardiff, just off the main shopping street, Queen Street. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. For more information, contact southwales@lgcm.org.uk or ring 07749 775 607.
